1.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bogibeel Bridge, India's longest rail-cum-road bridge, falling in the eastern part of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on December 25 over brahmaputra.

2.India and UAE signed 3,500 crore currency swap agreement. This agreement will boost investment and enable direct trade without using dollars or other international currencies.

3.Government of Nagaland has inaugurated a new Project namely- Development of Tribal Circuit under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme under Union Ministry of Tourism.

4.07 December is observed as Armed Forces Flag Day throughout India to honour the martyrs as well as men and women in uniform, who valiantly fight on our borders to safeguard the country's honour.

5.The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has signed an MoU between India and Russia on Joint Activities under the Human Spaceflight Programme on Dec 6, 2018.

6.The World Soil Day (WSD) is observed every year on December 5 to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for the sustainable management of soil resources. The 2018 theme is ‘Be the Solution to Soil Pollution’.

7.Kenyan distance runner Eliud Kipchoge, and Colombian long & triple jumper Caterine Ibarguen have been named male and female world athletes of the year under IAAF.

8.The Indian Coast Guard has conducted the Regional Level Marine Oil Pollution Response Exercise titled ‘Clean Sea - 2018’ at sea off Port Blair.

9.Under PRASAD Scheme, the Government of India (GoI) has recently included Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttrarakhand, Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh and Parasnath in Jharkhand to develop pilgrimage and heritage destinations in the country.‘PRASAD’ stands for ‘Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive’.

10.The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the nodal Ministry of the Government of India (GoI), has been conferred the Skoch Award for National Significance at an event held recently in New Delhi.

16.The Vice President of India Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu released Compilation of Selected speeches of the President, Ram Nath Kovind titled, "The Republican Ethic" in English and "Loktantra ke Swar" in Hindi at a function in Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

18. India Water Impact Summit 2018 was jointly organized by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and the Centre for Ganga River Basin Management and Studies recently in New Delhi.

19.Global carbon emissions are set to hit an all-time high of 37.1 billion tonnes of CO2 in 2018 in a study from Global Carbon Project.India, the third-highest contributor, is projected to see emissions rise by 6.3% from 2017. 

20.Delhi state government has launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana’ which offers free travel packages for senior citizens from Delhi to five religious circuits.
