1.Jammu and Kashmir Government released Healthcare Investment Policy-2019. It is aimed to promote and encourage private entrepreneurs in the health sector to improve the quality of service. 

2.Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport of Indore, Madhya Pradesh was declared as International Airport.

3.on 31st May, the World Health Organization (WHO) and global partners celebrate World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). The focus of World No Tobacco Day 2019 is on "tobacco and lung health".Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has banned production, distribution, advertisement and sale of Electronic-cigarette in the state,Also Rajasthan was conferred with the World Health Organization's (WHO) Tobacco Control Award for 2019.

4.The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will observe 2019 Financial Literacy Week (FLW) across the country from 3rd to 7th of June. The theme this year is - 'Farmers and how they benefit by being a part of the formal banking system'.

5.Former ISRO chief Dr. K Kasturirangan led Committee has recently submitted the draft National Educational Policy (NEP) to HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in New Delhi.

6.Chandrani Murmu (25) has created history by becoming the youngest Member of Parliament (MP), after elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from Keonjhar (Odisha) in the 2019.  She became the youngest MP in India's history.

7.Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has launched a new ministry called the "Jal Shakti" to provide safe drinking water to people. Jal Shakti Ministry has been created by reorganising the earlier Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as its minister.

8.Former Indian President Pratibha Patil has been conferred the "Orden Mexicana del Aguila Azteca" (Order of the Aztec Eagle), the highest civilian award of Mexico given to foreigners, on 1 June 2019.

9.Flight Lieutenant Mohana Singh became the first IAF woman pilot to become completely operational by day on Hawk advanced jet aircraft.

10.Europe's Highest Volcano Mount Etna, in southern Italy, erupted recently.

11.Liverpool wins the Champions League for the sixth time in 2019.

12.Puerto Williams in Chile has become the southernmost city in the world after getting its status upgraded to city category. Previously, southernmost city was Ushuaia in Argentina.

13.Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced free ride scheme for women in the capital to travel free of cost in DTC buses, cluster buses and Delhi Metro to ensure a safe travel experience.

14.In Russia, the first tourist train traveling through Russia's Arctic region and on to Norway set off from St. Petersburg station,  The train, named, Zarengold.

15.Scott Morrison has been sworn-in as new Prime Minister of Australia.

16.The International Everest Day (IED) is observed every year on May 29 to mark the first successful climb to the world’s highest peak Mount Everest.On this day in 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa reached the zenith of the mountain.

17.The Telangana government has decided to set up the India’s first ‘Blockchain district’ in Hyderabad to create an ecosystem for all the start-ups and institutes working in the space.

18.India has invited the leaders of the BIMSTEC Member States for the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, The BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) member states are: Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan including India. Also invited Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, the Chief Guest at this 2019 Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD).

19.Ajit Doval has been reappointed as the National Security Adviser (NSA) for a five-year tenure.

20.Indian-origin Anita Bhatia has been the Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women).

21.Pradhan Mantri KisanSamman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) ,Under this programme, vulnerable landholding farmer families, having cultivable land upto 2 hectares, will be provided direct income support at the rate of Rs. 6,000 per year.

22.New Union defence minister visited Siachen Glacier, It lies in the Karakoram Range.It is the highest battle field in the world and lies on LoC (Line of Control) between India and Pakistan.In 1984, the Pakistan army tried to enter the glacier, forcing India to launch a military operation known as “Operation Meghdoot”.

23.June 5th is World Environment Day. The first World Environment Day was celebrated in 1973.The theme for 45th World Environment Day is Beat Air Pollution. China is host nation.

24.Nandan Nilekani-led panel on strengthening digital payments industry which has seen a ten-fold growth in the last five years.
