13.14th Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention (COP-14) is being held in Geneva, Switzerland.It is to Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal. It entered into force on 5 May 1992.

14.meeting of Regional Heads of Customs Administration of Asia Pacific Region ofWorld Customs Organisation (WCO) in Kochi (in Kerela). India currently holds seat of Vice Chairperson of Asia Pacific region. It is an independent intergovernmental body whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Customs administrations.

20.Geological Survey of India (GSI) has released a report on graphite reserves in India.About 35 % of India’s total Graphite reserves is found in Arunachal Pradesh. This is the highest found in country.

 1.The Hampi chariot is one among the three famous stone chariots in India, the other two being in Konark, Odisha, and Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. It was the last capital of the last great Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar.It was a part of the Mauryan Empire back in the third century BC. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. 2.
