1.The central government is planning to expand the reach of the Smart Safety Surveillance, or 3S, programme. The 3S project was recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), considering the limited safety data on vaccines introduced in India. 

2.Avian botulism is said to be the reason behind the deaths of 18,000 birds in and around Rajasthan’s Sambhar lake. 


3.The Convention on Cybercrime, also known as the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime or the Budapest Convention, is the first international treaty seeking to address Internet and computer crime by harmonizing national laws.

4.Prithvi-II missile: It is a surface-to-surface tactical missile with a strike range of 350 km. It is India’s first missile indigenously developed by DRDO under prestigious Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP).

5.The Government of India is implementing One Stop Centre (OSC) scheme for setting up One Stop Centre since 1st April 2015 to support women affected by violence.

6.Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea have filed a petition in the Supreme Court to review its October 24 judgment on the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) issue. Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) is the usage and licensing fee that telecom operators are charged by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).


7.Stubble burning is a common practice followed by farmers to prepare fields for sowing of wheat in November as there is little time left between the harvesting of paddy and sowing of wheat.  Punjab facing the problem.

8.Constitution day which is also known as the Samvidhan Divas is celebrated every year on November 26 to mark the day on which the Constitution of India was adopted. While the adoption of the Constitution took place on November 26, 1949. 

9.The Union Government has launched the Credit-linked Subsidy Services Awas Portal (CLAP) for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Housing for All (Urban). GHTC aims to fast-track the construction of affordable housing and meet the target of constructing 1.2 crore houses by 2022. 


10.Rohtang tunnel will officially be ready for inauguration by September 2020.The 8.8 km long tunnel will cut through Pir Panjal range. It will become the world’s longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet. 


11.With an objective to strengthen financial stability and economic cooperation, the Reserve Bank of India has revised the framework on currency swap arrangement for SAARC countries till 2022.  It is an arrangement, between two friendly countries, which have regular, substantial or increasing trade, to basically involve in trading in their own local currencies, where both pay for import and export trade, at the pre-determined rates of exchange, without bringing in third country currency like the US Dollar.

12.India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C47 has launched Cartosat-3 and 13 commercial nanosatellites into Sun Synchronous orbit from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. PSLV-C47 is the 21st flight of PSLV in ‘XL’ configuration . 


13.Guru Ghasidas National Park  will be Chattisgarh’s 4th tiger reserve. Achanakmar, Udanti- Sitanadi and Indravati are other tiger reserves.

14.National Milk Day 2019 is observed on November 26 in India. The day is celebrated on this date to honour Dr Verghese Kurien-who is considered to be father of India’s White Revolution. The White Revolution, also known as Operation Flood, was launched in 1970. 

15.The Union Cabinet has approved India’s approach for the 25th Conference of Parties (COP) scheduled to be held in Spain. CBDR–RC is a principle within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). CBDR-RC and the annex classifications were codified in the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.

16.The annual United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) flagship Emissions Gap Report has been released. India is the fourth-largest emitter of Green House Gases (GHGs). 

17.HIM Vijay is the Indian Army’s biggest mountain combat exercise.

18.From December 1, FASTags will be mandatory for toll payment on National Highways. The device employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for payments directly from the prepaid or savings account linked to it.

19.European Union (EU) has become the first multilateral bloc to declare climate emergency.  Outside Europe only Canada, Argentina and Bangladesh have declared a climate emergency.  Main aim is to be carbon-neutral by 2030. 

20.Jannayak Janta Party of Haryana has been granted the status of a recognised State party by the ECI. Registration of Political parties is governed by the provisions of Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. 

21.Chagos Islands in news: The Chagos Islands, a small archipelago in the Indian Ocean. Britain detached the Chagos Islands from Mauritius in 1965, three years before Mauritian independence. Britain and mauritius have issues on it.

22.Global Migration Report 2020’ has been released by International Organisation for Migration’s (IOM).
