1.Odisha Government is to partner with Massachusettes Institute of Technology (MIT)-based Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), co-founded by Nobel laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo.

2.Pooja Rani (75kg) clinched gold medals with impressive wins, while Ashish (69kg) settled for a silver, Shiva Thapa (63kg) clinched gold medals in boxing categories at the Olympic Test Event for Boxing in Tokyo. Indian Wrestler Pooja Gehlot has won the silver Medal in the 53-kg category of the Under-23 World Wrestling Championship.

8.India signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia to launch the RuPay card in the country, making it the third nation in the West Asia to initiate India's digital payment system.

18.First ever ‘BIMSTEC Ports’ Conclave will be held at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. BIMSTEC was formed in 1997, originally with Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Thailand, and later included Myanmar, Nepal and Bhutan.

19.Human Resource Development ministry has launched Shaala Darpan portal. It is an end to end e-Governance school automation and management system.


20.India and Bangladesh has agreed on the withdrawal of 1.82 cusecs (cubic feet per second) of water from the Feni river by India for a drinking water supply scheme for Sabroom town in Tripura.


21.'The Brus' In Tripura, they are recognised as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group.

22.Nepal government has strongly objected to the inclusion of ‘Kalapani’ under the Indian Territory as per the newly released political map of India. It is included in Uttarakhand state.

24.Tiger Triumph- is a first tri- services amphibious exercise between India and the US. Conducted in Visakhapatnam, 'Samudrea shakti'- is a bilateral maritime exercise between India and Indonesia.

25.Odisha recorded the highest number of lightning strikes in the country, while Jammu and Kashmir recorded the least according to IMD.


26.New Zealand passed Zero Carbon bill which aims to make New Zealand reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to the point the country becomes mostly carbon neutral by 2050.
