1.The 13th International Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition 'PETROTECH-2019' is being organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas in New Delhi from 10th to 12th February, 2019. India's flagship hydrocarbon international conference is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister of India.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has recently launched the new ‘Africa Centre for Climate and Sustainable Development’ in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and FAO to fight climate change and boost sustainable development in Africa.

ISRO launched the Human Space Flight Centre (HSFC) at its headquarters in Bengaluru for the human spaceflight programme. The centre is the hub of ISRO's future manned missions.

6.Vani Kapoor has become the first Indian golfer to earn a card for the Australian Ladies PGA Tour (LPGA) after coming through its first-ever Qualifying Tournament at the Ballarat Golf Club.

7.The Qatar national football team has won their first major football title after defeating four-time champion Japan 3-1 in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup final on 1st of February in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

8.The International Energy Agency (IEA) has prepared the report titled ‘The Future of Rail’ in association with the International Union of Railways 
(UIC). This first-ever global report has a specific focus on India, where rail passenger traffic increased by nearly 200% since 2000.

9.As per latest survey conducted by Transparency International (TI), Assam has occupied the top slot in the ranking of best practices followed by statesin Budget formulation and is followed by Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

10.On February 2, 2019, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh declared one of the rarest mammal, Indus River Dolphin, which is only found in Beas River ,as Punjab State Aquatic Animal.

13.The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) has been renamed as the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.It is To deal with matters related to start-ups, facilitating ease of doing business among others.

14.To provide an assured income support to the small and marginal farmers, the Government is launching the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN),Under this programme, vulnerable landholding farmer families, having cultivable land upto 2 hectares, will be provided direct income support at the rate of Rs. 6,000 per year.

15.The Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced the allotment of 750 crore to the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM). The objective is to get native breeds to produce more milk, be more fecund, and to raise the quality of Indian cows and bulls to eventually outdo Jerseys and Holsteins.

16.20th edition of Bharat Rang Mahotsav is being held in New Delhi.
It is being organized by National School of Drama (NSD).It is the annual international theatre festival of India 
17.The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports is implementing Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) within overall ambit of National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) for providing financial assistance to elite athletes included in TOPS for their customized training in world class training institutes/academies within the country and abroad.
 18.The government has decided to set up a five-member working committee to look into the angel tax issue and come up with guidelines in one week,Angel Tax is a 30% tax that is levied on the funding received by startups from an external investor.
