1.Kerala has become the first State to set up a Price Monitoring and Research Unit (PMRU) to track violation of prices of essential drugs and medical devices under the Drugs Price Control Order (DPCO). 

2.Indian squash player Ramit Tandon has won the 2019 Seattle Open title by defeating Mohamed El Sherbini of Egypt in the final in USA.

3.The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has launched Shehri Samridhi Utsav to extend the outreach of DAY-NULM (Deendayal Antyodaya Mission - National Urban Livelihoods Mission) to the most vulnerable. 

4.India's latest communication satellite GSAT-31 was successfully launched by European launch services provider- Arianespace’s rocket from Kourou Launch in French Guiana,The Ariane-5 vehicle (Flight VA247) also carried Saudi Geostationary Satellite 1/Hellas Sat 4 along with GSAT-31.It is India’s 40th communication satellite.

5.In Rajasthan, the joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise ‘RAHAT-2019’ will be conducted by Jaipur based Sapta Shakti Command on behalf of Indian Army from 11th February.

6.Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for 2017 was presented by President Ram Nath Kovind to 42 artists in a ceremony held in New Delhi. Shobha Koser was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards 2017 under the category 'Kathak'.

7.The 52nd Boori Boot Yollo festival 2019 has recently celebrated by the Nyishi tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. The fest is observed in the month of February every year to welcome spring and a successful harvest.

8.Macedonia signed an accord to join NATO to become the 30th member of the US-led alliance.

9.Thailand has official declared the Siamese fighting fish as its national aquatic animal to boost conservation efforts and commercial breeding in the country.The Siamese fighting fish is listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN. Thailand's official national animal is the elephant.

10.On 7th February, Vidharbha lifted the Ranji Trophy for the second time in a row, after defeating Saurashtra by 78 runs in the final match of the 2018–19 season.

11.The Dard Aryan Tribe of Jammu and Kashmir's Ladakh region known for its liberal customs and ornate costumes is struggling to keep its vibrant cultural legacy alive.

12.INS Trikand (F51), a Talwar-class frigate of the Indian Navy, participated in the 8th edition of multinational maritime exercise ‘Cutlass Express 2019',The exercise was held near Djibouti, Mozambique and the Seychelles from 27 Jan to 06 Feb 19.

13.The 13th Conference of Parties (COP) of the Convention on the conservation of migratory species of wild animals (CMS), an environmental treaty under the aegis of United Nations Environment Programme, is going to be hosted by India during 15th to 22nd February 2020 at Gandhinagar in Gujarat.

14.The Government has promulgated various laws/regulations from time to time to ensure that the rights and well-being of the Sentinelese are safeguarded. The entire North Sentinel Island along with 5 km coastal sea from high water mark is notified as tribal reserve.The Sentinelese are a negrito tribe who live on the North Sentinel Island of the Andamans. 

15.The Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs has given its approval for the creation of a corpus of Rs. 2000 crore for Agri-Market Infrastructure Fund (AMIF). The fund will be created with NABARD for development and up-gradation of agricultural marketing infrastructure in Gramin Agricultural Markets and Regulated Wholesale Markets.

16.The Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen has launched the ‘Darwaza Band -Part 2’ campaign starring Amitabh Bachchan.

17.The Delhi government has kicked off its pilot project of creating Delhi’s first ‘zero fatality corridor’. It has also issued actionable points to all agencies to ensure a 10% reduction in road accidents by the end of the year.

18.The ‘Parmanu Tech 2019’ conference was recently organised by the Ministry of External Affairs and Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The conference discussed issues related to Nuclear Energy and Radiation Technologies.

19.Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight tested the second indigenously developed ‘Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (SFDR)’ propulsion based missile system jointly developed by India and Russia. With itIndia can have fastest long-range missiles in two categories, providing full-fledged and multi-layered aerial protection from hostile attacks.

20.The Centre and the Gujarat government have announced a Rs. 97.85 crore Asiatic Lion Conservation Project.Kuno-Palpur Wildlife Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh was identified to be the most suitable for reintroducing the species,
