1. NITI Aayog is set to host an Investors' Conference for the Holistic Development of Islands , at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra in New Delhi. This Conference will be inaugurated by Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog. It is expected to gain investment for the sustainable development of eco-tourism projects in Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands.  2.The Karnataka government has made Yoga mandatory for all colleges and universities in the State.All government, aided and private degree colleges in the state must conduct yoga for 20-minutes. 3. India and Germany have signed an agreement on financial and technical cooperation focusing on sustainable urban development and renewable energy. 2.The US has elevated India's status in the export control regime and designated it as a Strategic Trade Authorization-1 (STA-1) country. This will allow India to buy more advanced and sensitive technologies from America. 1. The Unified Commanders' Conference (UCC) for the year 2018 has started at New Delhi on July 30 to review external security challenges as well as the country's preparedness. The conference will provide a platform for discussions at the Apex Level on all 'Joint Issues' among the three Services & Ministry of Defence. 2.India jumped 22 places to 96th rank in the top 100 of the United Nations E-Government Development Index (EGDI) 2018. Denmark, with an index value of 0.9150, topped the 2018 E-Government Development Survey. 1. The Gujarat government came out with an 'Urban Sanitation and Cleanliness Policy' for better management of solid and liquid waste in cities.
