1.NITI Aayog is set to host an Investors' Conference for the Holistic Development of Islands, at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra in New Delhi. This Conference will be inaugurated by Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog. It is expected to gain investment for the sustainable development of eco-tourism projects in Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands. 

2.The Karnataka government has made Yoga mandatory for all colleges and universities in the State.All government, aided and private degree colleges in the state must conduct yoga for 20-minutes.

3.Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes won the Hungarian Grand Prix for the 6th time, at the Hungaroring circuit, in Hungary. 

4.The indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Naval Prototype 2 (NP2) successfully landed on the Shore Based Test Facility (SBTF) in Goa. Navy will conduct a series of such trials and the Naval LCA is expected to be on INS Vikramaditya by the end of 2018.

5.WHO has released the progress report on potential health impact from increased sanitation coverage through the Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin (SBM-G). Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Gramin, launched on October 2, 2014 . It will result in preventing more than three lakh deaths due to diarrhoea and protein-energy malnutrition between 2014-October 2019.

6.Lok Sabha has passed National Sports University Bill, 2018 to set up the country’s first National Sports University in Imphal, Manipur that will provide sports education, research and coaching.

7.The famous Kadaknath chicken meat from Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh has now got a Geographical Indication (GI) tag. A GI is primarily an agricultural, natural or a manufactured product (handicrafts and industrial goods) originating from a definite geographical territory.

8.Akshay Venkatesh, a renowned Indian-Australian mathematician, is one of four winners of mathematics’ prestigious Fields medal, known as the Nobel prize for math.
