1.Santhali (Santali) is India's 1st Tribal Language to get own Wikipedia Edition,a tribal language primarily spoken in India, Bangladesh and Nepal, The language is been spoken by over 6.4 million people in the states of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Assam.

2.Exim Bank of India has signed a multilateral cooperation agreement with member development banks of BRICS to undertake "collaborative research" in distributed ledger/blockchain technology.It was with the objective of strengthening the cooperation under the BRICS Interbank Cooperation Mechanism.

3.Former Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee passed away.Chatterjee was the Speaker of the Lower House from 2004-09.

4.Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad released 'Digital North East Vision 2022' in Guwahati. Digital technologies to transform the lives of people of the northeast and enhance the ease of living. 

5.The Indian Army has launched the major rescue and relief operation “Operation Sahyog” at Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Idukki after incessant rain and landslides hit various northern districts of Kerala.

6.Michelle Bachelet, the former two-time President of Chile, has been officially appointed new UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for a period of 4 years. 

7.The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has released Ease of Living Index.Pune has ranked first while two more Maharashtra cities — Navi Mumbai and Greater Mumbai figure in the second and third spots.Tirupati, Chandigarh, Thane, Raipur, Indore, Vijaywada and Bhopal also figure in the top 10 list in that order. Rampur in Uttar Pradesh has ranked the worst on the scale with Kohima and Patna on the bottom two.
