1.The former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan has claimed victory in Pakistan's Election of 2018 who has been elected as the next Prime Minister Pakistan.

2.International Tiger Day is being celebrated every year on 29 July to raise awareness about tiger conservation.As per latest tiger counting (in 2014), Madhya Pradesh has 308 big cats. India's track record with tiger populations has been encouraging. India is home to 70% of tigers in the world.

3.Gujarat state government launched the 'Urban Sanitation and Cleanliness Policy' for  better management of solid and liquid waste in cities.One of the mains objectives of the policy is complete abolition of manual scavenging. 

4.Ace Indian shuttler Sourabh Verma has lifted the 2018 Russian Open Badminton trophy at Vladivostok on July 29. 

5.Noted litterateur Ramakanta Rath has been conferred with the Odisha’s highest literary award ‘Atibadi Jagannath Das Samman’ for 2018 for his life time contribution to Odia literature. 

6.Shivangi Pathak (17) from Haryana, who became the India’s youngest women to scale Mt Everest from Nepal side, has recently scaled the highest peak of Africa “Mt Kilimanjaro”, which is located in Tanzania.

7.The Ministry of Civil Aviation is planning to launch DigiYatra service at airports in a few months. DigiYatra is an industry-led initiative coordinated by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.


8.The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) is all set to launch India’s first public sector hotel run entirely by women for women in the state’s capital city, Thiruvananthapuram.The all-woman hotel is the first such initiative from a government institution in the country.

9.India is in talks with United States to procure National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System-II (NASAMS-II). It is an advanced Air defence system, It is highly adaptable mid-range solution for any operational air defence requirement.
