1.Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh announced a Chhattisgarh Online Pension Management System (OPMS). Through this application, 80,000 pensioners of the state will now get all the information related to pension and payment online.It is under e-governance, fulfilling the dream of Digital India.

2.Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has named Indian Athlete Hima Das as the first sports ambassador of Assam. This announcement has been made after Hima Das became the first Indian woman to win gold medal in the women's 400 m final race at IAAF World U-20 Athletics Championships held in France.

3.Chief Minister of Andhra pradesh N.Chandrababu Naidu launched e-Pragati core platform, a forward-looking digital initiative, at Undavalli, Amaravati. It is aimed at connecting the citizen to 34 departments, 336 autonomous organisations and 745-plus services.  The e-Pragati authority will achieve the goals of the project by supporting the seven development missions launched in the areas of e-Governance,

Myanmar has joined the India-initiated International Solar Alliance (ISA).The primary aim of the alliance is to work for efficient exploitation of solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. It is headquartered at Gwal Pahari village in Gurugram, Haryana.

5.Repco Micro Finance Ltd (RMFL), a non-banking finance company promoted by Repco Bank, has won the 2018 NABARD award for its service to Self-Help Group (SHG) linkage.

National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) has installed a remote sensing instrument- LiDAR for assessment of offshore wind resource at Gulf of Khambhat, off the Gujarat Coast. 

7.Facebook has confirmed it is working on a new satellite project, named Athena, that will provide broadband internet connections to rural and underserved areas. The company aims to launch satellite in early 2019.

8.As per Asian Development Bank (ADB)'s Asian Development Outlook report India continues to be the fastest growing economy in Asia with projected GDP growth of 7.3 per cent.Globally, South Asia would be the fastest growing sub-region despite trade tensions with US.

9.Scientists have created a new phase in Earth’s geological history and named it Meghalayan, after a stalagmite from a cave in the Indian state of Meghalaya that helped define climatic events 4,200 years ago.

10.The Speaker of Lok Sabha, Sumitra Mahajan has admitted a no-confidence motion moved by the opposition against the ruling government.A no-confidence motion is a parliamentary motion which is moved in the Lok Sabha against the entire council of ministers, stating that they are no longer deemed fit to hold positions of responsibility due to their inadequacy in some respect or their failure to carry out their obligations. 

11.Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has announced ‘Padhe Bharat- Badhe Bharat’ an initiative to promote reading culture among students. The initiative has been launched under ‘Samagra Shiksha’.

12.The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will soon be releasing a new lavender Rs 100 currency note. The banknote highlights  a photograph of ‘Rani-ki-vav’

13.Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan have topped the list of states with maximum solar power generation capacity approved under solar parks in India. Solar park scheme of Ministry of New and renewable Energy (MNRE) has drawn a to set up number of solar parks across various states in the country, each with a capacity of Solar Projects generally above 500 MW.
