1.Union Minister Ananth Kumar passes away at 59 in Bengaluru. He held two portfolios in the NDA Government; of Parliamentary affairs and Chemicals and Fertilizers. 

2.The 33rd edition of ASEAN summit 2018 has started in the city-state of Singapore on November 11 with theme ‘Resilient and innovative Asean’.

3.SIMBEX, the 25th edition of the India-Singapore bilateral naval exercise has begun at the tri-services command on November 10, 2018. The exercise is being held in Port Blair, Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

4.The inaugural edition of Indian Navy - Indonesian Navy Bilateral Exercise 'Samudra Shakti' began at Surabaya, Indonesia. The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Rana of the Eastern Fleet based at Visakhapatnam .

5.West Bengal cabinet, headed by CM Mamata Banerjee, decided to set up development boards for the Matua and Namasudra communities. This decision was taken for social representation and welfare of the 2 communities present in large numbers in the state. 

6.Five-time world champion Lewis Hamilton won Brazilian Grand Prix in Brazil. 

7.National education day was celebrated across India. In 2008, Central Government declared November 11 as National education day. This day commemorates the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad

8.Twitter India has recently launched a new social initiative #PowerOf18, which aims to encourage youth to contribute in public debates and participate in civic engagement for the 2019 general elections.

9.On November 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first multi-modal terminal on the Ganga river in his parliamentary constituency in Varanasi and received the country’s first container cargo transported on inland waterways from Kolkata.

10.Indian mountaineer Satyarup Siddhanta from Bengal has become the first Indian to climb Mt Giluwe – the second highest mountain in Papua New Guinea.

11. ISRO successfully launched its latest communication satellite GSAT-29, which was put in Launch Vehicle Mark III D2 (GSLV-Mk III D2). that will provide communication services to remote places in the North East and Jammu and Kashmir.

12.India is hosting the 2018 Women’s Boxing World Championships in New Delhi from November 15-24.

23.The Union Ministry of Finance has decided to release a Rs 75 commemorative coin on the occasion of 75th anniversary of the hoisting of Tricolour for the first time by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Port Blair.

24.Point Calimere Wildlife Sanctuary in Vedaranyam Range Tamil Nadu,Blackbuck (Antilope Cervicapra) is the flagship species of the sanctuary.

27.India International Cherry Blossom festival is scheduled to be held from November 14 to 17 in Shillong, Meghalaya.The festival is organised by Government of Meghalaya’s Forest & Environment Department.

28.The Shri Ramayana Express, a special tourist train to run on the Ramayana circuit to cover major spots related to the Hindu epic was recently flagged off from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi. it is  under Swadesh Darshan scheme of Ministry of Tourism.
