1.In Himachal Pradesh, the 26th edition of Central and State Statistical Organizations(COCSSO) Conference was held at Dharamshala with theme “Quality Assurance in Official Statistics” on 15th and 16th November 2018. It was organized by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).

2.Induslnd Bank has recently launched the India’s first interactive credit card with buttons called the IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card.

3.Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has recently launched the ‘Gau Samridhi Plus scheme’ or ‘Cow Samridhi Plus Scheme’ to offer insurance coverage to dairy farmers in Kerala.

4.NITI Aayog constituted the 'Himalayan State Regional Council' in New Delh to ensure sustainable development of the Himalayan region. It will be chaired by the Dr VK Saraswat, Member, NITI Aayog.

5.After 5 years of bifurcation in 2014, Andhra Pradesh government unveiled its new emblem for official use. It consists of "Dhamma Chakka" - "the Wheel of Law" embellished with a ring of Triratnas alternating with pinnate leaves and precious stones. 

6.The 10th edition of joint military exercise between Indian and Russia “INDRA 2018” on combating insurgency has started at Babina Field Firing Ranges in Babina Military Station, Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh) from 18th November 2018.

7.In Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently laid foundation of India's first Sri Vishwakarma Skill Development University at village Dudholain Palwal district via remote control .

8.Ustad Amjad Ali Khan has been honoured with the 2018 Sumitra Charat Ram Award for Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of Indian Classical Music.

9.Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), the New Delhi (India)-based independent research and advocacy think tank, has won the prestigious 2018 Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development.

10.Shyama Prasad Ganguly from India has been awarded the Mexico's highest civilian honour “Mexican Order of the Aztec Eagle”.

11.The 27th BASIC (Brazil, South Africa, India and China) Ministerial Meeting on Climate Change was held in New Delhi, India, on 19-20 November 2018.

12.Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) celebrated the first Naturopathy Day throughout India on 18th November 2018. 

13.The 2018 Apec summit was held recently held in Papua New Guinea.The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum established in 1989 to leverage the growing interdependence of the Asia-Pacific. APEC has 21 members.

14.In 2013, the United Nations General Assembly officially designated November 19 as World Toilet Day.2018 Theme: When Nature Calls.

15.India’s first specialized hospital for elephants has been formally opened in Mathura.


16.President Kovind has visited the My Son temple complex in Kwangnan province in Vietnam.A UNESCO World Heritage Site.

17.The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in association with the Department of Tourism, Government of Tripura and the North Eastern States is organizing the 7th “International Tourism Mart” in Agartala, Tripura.


18. ‘Vajra Prahar’ is a Indo-US Special Forces joint training exercise conducted alternately in India and the US. The 2018 edition of this exercise has commenced at Mahajan Field Firing Range (MFFR), Bikaner in Rajasthan.

19.An American national was killed allegedly by the Sentinelese tribe in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands after he illegally entered the protected zone on November 16.The Sentinelese are a negrito tribe who live on the North Sentinel Island of the Andamans
