5.Indo Oman Joint Exercise Al Nagah III 2019, a joint military exercise between Indian and Royal Army of Oman (RAO), commenced this morning at HQ Jabel Regiment, Nizwa, Oman.

10.The UK’s Royal Mint has recently issued a new commemorative 50 pence coin inspired by the late legendary British physicist Stephen Hawking’s seminal work on black holes.

11.Smart India Hackathon 2019 organised by Ministry of Human Resource and Development,  It provides an unique Open Innovation Model for identifying new and disruptive technology innovations to solve the challenges faced in the country.

15.A species of wood snake that wasn’t seen for 140 years has resurfaced in a survey conducted by scientists in the Meghamalai Wildlife Sanctuary (Tamil nadu).. The species is endemic to the Meghamalai forests and the Periyar Tiger Reserve landscape.

16.Project Varshadhare: It is a cloud seeding project flagged off by the Karnataka government to enhance the amount of precipitation from the clouds to generate more rain. 

17.DRDO successfully test fired indigenously developed, low weight, fire and forget Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM). It has strike range of 2.5 km. It weighs around 14.5 kg to maintain man portability.

 1.The Hampi chariot is one among the three famous stone chariots in India, the other two being in Konark, Odisha, and Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. It was the last capital of the last great Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar.It was a part of the Mauryan Empire back in the third century BC. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. 2.
