1.Women in Saudi Arabia have been legally allowed to drive for the first time in the history of one of the most conservative countries. On June 4, Saudi Arabia issued the first driving license to women, as Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud officially announced.

2.Archer Deepika Kumari won her first individual gold medal in six years at the Salt Lake World Cup, in the USA. She defeated Germany's Michelle Kroppen in the recurve final. 

3.Indian swimmer Sandeep Sejwal put up an impressive performance to clinch the gold medal in men's 50m breaststroke event at the Singapore National Swimming Championships in Singapore.

4.Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a nature center on the 4th International Day of Yoga at New York City, United States.The centre is called 'YO1 Nature Cure Center'. YO1, which means youthful in Sanskrit, is the first of its kind nature cure center in America. 

5.Haryana state government makes use of LED bulbs mandatory in govt offices by 15 Aug. All halogen, sodium bulbs and tube lights will be replaced with energy-efficient LED bulbs and tube lights. 

6.Recep Tayyip Erdogan had won a 52.54% share of the national vote and re-elected as the Turkish President, extending his 15-year grip on power. Erdogan has won several consecutive elections to become Turkey's longest-serving leader.

7.The Punjab government has launched a new scheme ‘Paani Bachao, Paise Kamao’ to check depletion of underground water. Under this scheme, farmers will get monetary benefit for less use of tube well. 

8.The naval forces of India and Bangladesh will conduct the joint patrol exercise “Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT)” in the Bay of Bengal from June 27. The purpose of the Lanba’s visit is to consolidate bilateral defence relations between India and Bangladesh and to explore new avenues for naval cooperation. 

9.Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the proposal of setting up of a committee to lay down standards for metro rail systems in the country. The committee will be headed by E Sreedharan, who is also known as the ‘Metro Man’. Currently, metro projects with a total length of 370km are operational in eight cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi and Mumbai.

10.“Tumhari Sulu”won the Best Picture Award at the International Indian Film Academy Awards 2018 in Bangkok. Irfan Khan was adjudged the Best Actor .
